JuLy Of tHe 4Th

July 3 was family night at Girls Camp.

Hung out with family. Ate Food. Lake of the Woods does a firework the night before 4th of July.

Not a single cloud in the sky.

We headed to Medford for the actual 4th to hang out with Nic's family.

Central Point parade. This was my first parade in the Medford/Central Point area.

We then headed back to the in-laws and hung out. Ate food. Pool time. Birthday celebration for July birthdays. And caught lizards.

 That night we went to an awesome firework show.

 We might have done a few of our own "legal" fireworks. As you can see.

 All of the fireworks were in soccer fields. You set up chairs around and off they went.

eArLy BiRtHdAy

Nic surprised me with an early birthday surprise trip to Ashland.

On our way we saw this beauty just chillin' on a vacant house.

He took me to Rogue Valley Runners. 

This is an amazing running store that fits you for shoes.

They first videotape you while you run briefly on a treadmill (I felt super awkward).

Based on how you run (I pronate which means my feet role in) they bring out 5 or so pairs of shoes. You try them on and pick which one you like best.

Thank you to Leeland for fitting me for my amazing running shoes. 

They were the first pair I tried on.

We then headed to Wiley's World. 

 Oh Neeko. You're silly.

 Gluten free alfredo? Yes please!

Basically all we do is work, work, and church. That's our lives in a nutshell.

Here's a few pictures that depict what we've been up to:

I have been crafting up a storm starting with hair clips and I finally finished my felt wreath!

I love the way it turned out. 

 I helped out with the dance recital and my little kiddies did such a great job! I love teaching and I'm hoping I'll be asked to come back next year.

I helped out with the Regional Youth Conference.

My mom pulled it off and did such a great job (along with many others who helped).

This is the mom of one of oldest best friends. 

 My mom and I discovered a cup for cup flour - meaning I can substitute a cup of regular wheaty flour for a cup of my GF flour. Mind you - my mom bought me 2 boxes of this Better Batter flour. It's $25 for a 5 lb box. Do you know how hard it is for me to use this flour?! Well my mom finally used it and made this beauty. Angel food cake. It was DELICIOUS! And it tasted normal! 

We continue pluggin' along with adoption. Our profile is still live and we still continue to wait. I was given the advice to keep myself busy, which I am. Crafting. Running (I'm training for a 5k). Family time (love that my sister now lives in town). Keep our little family in your prayers and we will have our little miracle...soon.

Nic was blessed with 4 tickets to a Timbers game (professional soccer).

We headed up to Salem/Portland on May 4-6. 

Beautiful drive up on Friday. 

 We stopped at Build-A-Bear workshop. It is something I have always wanted to do.

Nic bought me a gift card so we made a cute little bear for future Baby Phair.

 Saturday morning we did a little geocaching. This was my first Geocahe find. 

 Before the game on Saturday night, we met up with my mom, Ben and Sharon and their boys for lunch/dinner (they were on their way home from Disneyland).

Yummy burgers and fries! They also had the coolest drink machine.

 This was the CRAZY cheering section! They never stopped. 

They had one cheer after another.

 I had no idea the professional soccer team was such a HUGE thing in Portland. It was packed. 

It was a fun game. 0-0. Tie game.

We went to church with Ben and Sharon on Sunday and then made our way home.

We stopped along the way to this little place.

It was a nice little vaca and we had a great time with the Stewarts!

After many months of interviews, answering questions, patience, and answering more questions it's live. Can not believe this time has come!

Nic e-mailed me at work when I was leaving and I stopped in the middle of the hallway and started crying. I couldn't believe it! It took everything in me to not start jumping and screaming.

We know that the waiting is only beginning, but we know that there is a plan.

Somewhere out there we know there will be a birthmom who will choose us.
