V-dAy

Our V-Day was very relaxing and enjoyable.
We both had to work and since V-Day fell on a Tuesday this year, I had my dance class.
This was a valentine a girl in one of my tap classes gave me:
 Those girls are so sweet.
I may or may not have made valentines for those girls. ;)
Nic asked me what I wanted for my V-Day dinner?
My answer: a sandwich. Being GF I don't get to enjoy delicious sandwich bread.
To satisfy this sandwich tooth...Subway! Their GF bread is delish.
Not so romantic I know, but it is when your valentine gives you what you ask for. :)
The rest of the night was spent watching Netflix and of course, chocolate dessert.
Nic started a V-Day tradition when we first got married: high heels.
That's right ladies - be jealous. Nic loves to pick me out a pair of high heels for V-Day - he has great taste!
This year he went more practical and got me a new pair of shoes for work. True love.
I'm sorry, forgive me now but I HAVE to share the card he got me because it's the essence of our marriage:
Valentine's Day is not just a celebration of ideal relationship in a perfect world.
It goes beyond that. It's about real people who support one another in hard times, help each other through problems, and share life's joy as well as its sadness.
It's about the kind of person who says, "I'm here for you" - and means it.
It's about caring...friendship...love.
That's why it's so much more than just a day of hearts and flowers - Valentine's Day is a celebration of special friends like you.
How sweet is he?
Nic's valentine gift? This:
A candy gram! Including a really cheesy message:
To my BIG HUNK,
I hope this brings you a SNICKER as you read my message. You were MINT to be mine on this Valentines Day. I really SKORed by marrying you. It's a JOY (Almond Joy) being married to you. You are EXTRA, EXTRA special. You're always there for me in a CRUNCH. I love that I can ROLOver and see you everyday. You are one HOT TAMALE. There are more stars in my eyes for you than the MILKY WAY. You stole a PIECE of my heart. <3

I hope you were able to spend V-Day with your valentine, because I sure did. :)

Cute cute cute to all of it!! That's when you know you have arrived at a sweet spot in marriage, when a subway sandwich can be love. :) And Nic's card definitely sums it up. Cute candy gram. When aren't those a hit?! Never!
