Boy, was I ever surprised...Tabatha (Cooke) told me on Friday (April 9) that we had a meeting for Public Relations (OIT job) on Monday (April 12). For some reason, I felt kind of nervous about this meeting. I get to work on Monday a little before noon and asked Tabatha why we were having a meeting. She said probably just a get together and have lunch - get to know everyone. Ok. We walk into the conference room and surprise! the room is all decorated with "Congrats Grad" and everyone is already in there for a graduation surprise party! I was so surprised - I love my work! We had a yummy enchilada lunch and then a delicious strawberry poppyseed cake. So good. They gave me a frame for my diploma. What a great way to start off my week...
Me and my yummy cake: Congratulations Allison
They made me wear this awesome hat! I even had a ginormous pin to wear and 2 necklaces. Awesome!
Thank you OIT Public Relations! :)

Nic and I headed to Utah over Easter weekend: Friday to Monday. It was a short trip, but well worth it. We headed there because of these 2 beautiful babes:
Jameson Paul Stewart (L) and Remi Kate Andrus (R)
We stayed with one of Nic's mission companion, Josh and his wife April. Nic hadn't seen them for like 3 years and I have never met them. It was so great to finally meet them - great family. This is their little girl, Allison Joy (great name :)
Saturday we headed to an aquarium with Dani and her kids, my mom and Reece. At the aquarium there was a tribute to me (aka Albatross)...ok no tribute. I don't really know that the "Albatross" had to do with this fish tank - it is one of my nicknames though:
There was also this crazy creature that like to walk on water upside down:
HUGE lobster:
Nasty Anaconda. Ew.
Crocodiles:
The kids eating lunch.
Easter Sunday was spend relaxing and eating. Sorry for the lack of pictures. It was a great weekend to be with family and to meet Josh, April and Allison. Thank you again for letting us stay with you!

I currently hold my diploma in hand. I finally have the piece of paper I have worked 4 1/2 years to get. I never thought a piece of paper would feel so good to have - I even smiled when I looked at it. When I walk across the stage at graduation (June 12, 10 a.m.) I will receive the holder with a letter in it. I did it!

DaNcE sHoEs BaCk On

It's time for me to put my dancing shoes back on. I was asked by the owner of the studio I danced at to teach a few classes until their recital in June. :) Heck yes! It's a couple of hours a week: jazz and maybe a tap class. It will be a paid temporary job. I'm so excited to help out these classes. Nervous...
I have applied for a few jobs and will be applying for another part-time job this week - nothing has worked out. I still have my "part-time" job at OIT for another few months. I have been praying and fasting about it, hoping that something would work out...I have realized that nothing Nic and I have planned has really worked out - something always better works instead. It always amazes me that we're always on the Lord's mind and He has the plan that works best. It's our responsibility to put our trust and faith in the Lord...oh yeah. And patience. It's so hard especially when you want something so bad.
Patience, faith and trust I have. I'm so glad that I have been given this opportunity to help teach dance classes. :) I'm so grateful that the Lord is so mindful of each of us.
