Missionary Moment

I never would have thought that the dance team would give me different opportunities to stand up for what I believe... Last night after our practice, the team headed over to Hailee's house for dinner, games, and chit chat. It was so much fun! Dinner was delish. The game we played was a 'get to know you' game (draw a question out of the bowl and answer it). It was fun to get to know the girls a little bit better. Girls loved asking me about being married, having kids, etc...After the game was done, some girls left and the rest of us were just sitting around talking and laughing it up. Somehow the topic got onto marriage. I made a statement how in the church you don't have to pay for a place to get married and that's when it began...For the next 10 - 15 minutes, the girls just kept asking me all of these questions about the church: the 3 degrees of glory, Word of Wisdom, pre-Earth life, how the church is run, prophets, scriptures, revelation, the Godhead, temples, baptism, etc... It was so fun to sit and talk with them about the church - I didn't feel judged at all. They were just curious and wanted to know more. I let them know that there is tons of false doctrine about the church and that if they have questions, just ask me. I'm more then happy to talk about it. There was a girl who's Catholic and a girl who used to be a Jehovah's Witness (now a Christian). It was interesting to talk to them about what they believe in. I just loved how they just wanted to know more. I'm so grateful for the opportunities the dance team has given me to stand up for what I believe in and who knows what other opportunities await me. Thank you dance team for giving me a change to share with you what I believe in.
